How do I select the most appropriate bike type for my trip?
You can read our detailed bikes descriptions to see what kind of terrain and surface we recommend them for. However, to get a piece of advice based on our expert knowledge of the region, feel free to write us an e-mail with your travel plans.
How do I get the bike size that fits me?
To select the right bike size for you let us know your height and frame type preference while booking the bike. You can also tell us the bike type and frame size you normally ride at home. If you have personal geometry requirements, such as specific handlebars height or distance between a saddle and a handlebar, please write us the particular measurements, we will do our best to adjust the bike for you.

We provide all of the above but feel free to bring your own. When booking a bike, please let us know you are bringing these. We will attach your pedals and/or saddle to the bike and lend you a tool to remove them if you are going to drop off the bike away from our bike rental shop.
What is WSD?
WSD stands for Women's Specific Design, which brings a new level of bike frame in between the men's frame and traditional women's step-through frame. WSD is close to the men's frame in its basic shape, however the bigger sloping of the top tube means slightly lower standover height, the shorter top tube and higher stem position make the handlebar reach easier. It provides more comfort for ladies than men's frames, and allows for greater stiffness and lower weight than step-through frames. That is why WSD is used with road and fitness bikes.
We offer WSD frames with our road bikes TREK Silque S 5 and lightweight hybrids TREK FX 3 Women's. Those who prefer easy getting on and off the bike, can take our hybrid SCOTT Sportster 40 Lady or TREK 7300 Women's with a step-through frame.
How can I get to your bike rental shop?
Our bike rental shop is based in Mikulov, Czech Republic, just 70 km north of Vienna. See Topbicycle bike rental shop site to find its exact location and ways how to get there.
What about maps of the route I intend to do?
We have a supply of detailed topographic cycling maps for the region, including the route along Vienna - Prague Greenways Trail. Check your travel plans with us and we will sell you the right maps you need for your biking trip.
Where can I pick up the rented bike?
You can pick up the bike free of charge in our bike rental shop in Mikulov, Czech Republic. We can also deliver the bike to you to almost any place in Central Europe you choose, however then the transportation charge 1 EUR / km applies (it is one price no matter how many bikes you rent). Check our transportation distances and prices table.
Where can I drop off the bike?
You can return the bike free of charge in our shop or at one of our free drop-off points. You can also drop off the bike anywhere you finish your tour. Then the collection charge 1 EUR / km applies. In some towns and cities, we will provide you with the address of a particular hotel to leave the bike in. Otherwise leave the bike in a safe place at your accommodation (in a lockable or watched room) and let us know its address. If you are not staying in the destination overnight, we can arrange to meet you there and collect the bike from you directly.
Can you help if my bike breaks during the ride?
We provide a spare inner tube and a puncture repair kit with the bike to cover a flat tire. We also give some repair tools for light repairs and adjustments. For anything more serious, please call us so that we can replace your bike or arrange fixing the problem. However our bike mechanics check all bikes before they are delivered to you, so the chances of your bike breaking are very low.
What is a good time to go cycling in Central Europe?
Our season is from April to October. Personally, we think May (flowers) and September (ideal sunny weather) are the best times to tour in this region. However, the other months are also good. The weather in continental Europe consists of hot summers and cold, snowy winters.
What is latest time I can reserve bicycles from you?
Book as early in advance as you can to be sure. In summer, some of our bike models might be completely booked out for our bicycle tours and group biking trips.
Do you require a deposit payment?
No, we do not require any deposit. The whole rental price is payable at the moment you pick up the bike.
